WELCOME TO FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC ILARO

The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro was conceived as part of the effort to produce a category of manpower requirement presently in short supply. This is middle-level manpower in the Town Planning Profession who are capable of assisting professional Town Planners in their duties. The department started as an offshoot of the Physical Planning Unit of the Polytechnic. The Physical Unit had two qualified Town Planners as Members of Staff, one Architect and another Registered Town Planner in Building Technology and Civil Engineering Departments respectively were transferred to the Town Planning Department. Oladimeji. Olusola OJO lectures in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State. He obtained a Higher National Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning from The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, a B.Sc. in Geography and Regional Planning and M.Sc. in Urban and Regional Planning from University of Ibadan. Dr Sola Ojo holds a PhD in Architecture (Landscape) from Covenant University Ota, Ogun State. His is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (MNITP) and a Registered Town Planners (RTP). His area of interest includes Regional planning, Border Planning and Management, and Housing Development.
