RECTOR'S GOODWILL MESSAGE TO STUDENTS AHEAD OF THE COMMENCEMENT OF 1ST SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS
My dear good students of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, this is to wish you resounding success in the forthcoming examinations.
I know you are all ready for this important, essential and mandatory assignment.
Please note that examinations are prerequisite exercises for success and attainment of academic excellence, however, it is pertinent to remind you that success, as important as it is, should not be seen as A DO OR DIE affair.
Passing examinations should not be precipitated on GIVING ALL (albeit unorthodoxly) IT TAKES.
Rather, note that all it takes to pass an examination is ADEQUATE PREPARATIONS, which I'm very sure you have taken cognizance of.
I will advise you to sleep, for at least 5 hours daily during preparations so as to be medically, mentally and emotionally fit and stable for the exams.
Maintain decorum in the exam halls, respect the supervisors and invigilators, read instructions and the questions carefully before you attempt them, read and abide by all rules and regulations guiding the conduct of examinations at the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro. The rules are well chronicled in the hard and soft copies of the Polytechnic
Students’ Handbook. Do not be rude to the examination officials, please.
Remember to bring the following, among other important and mandatory documents to the examination room :
1. Students’ ID Cards
2. Laminated course forms
3. Polytechnic receipt as evidence of payment of service charges.
Do not cheat in the examination, try your best, pray and leave the rest to Almighty God. My students, it is well by the Grace of God.
As we have all gone through these stages of academic life successfully and without tarnishing our family and the institution's images, I pray that you will also sail through successfully. I pray that you will pass the forthcoming examination in flying colors.
I wish you the very best in this and subsequent examinations that you will be writing throughout your sojourn here at the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro.
Congratulations in advance as I hope to clink glasses and pour champagne of success after the examinations
