Oduwole, ND, HND, Post HND, Technologist II National Diploma Surveying & Geoinformatics, ND [S & G] Mode of Study: Full-time Timetable: Day Duration: 4 Semesters Course Objectives The National Diploma programme in Surveying & Geoinformatics is designed to produce Middle level technicians that are capable of performing basic functions in Surveying & Geoinformatics both in private and public sector. At the end of the programme the holder of the National Diploma should be able to: Interpret spatial measurements from various sources Operate Surveying & Geoinformatics instruments Carry out cadastral survey to defined boundaries of land Apply the basic principles of surveying and method in Surveying & Geoinformatics Compile maps at various scales from imageries Understand database creation and management. Higher National Diploma Surveying & Geoinformatics, HND [S & G] Mode of Study: Full-time Timetable: Day Duration: 4 Semesters Course Objectives The Higher National Diploma programme in Surveying & Geoinformatics is designed to produce highertechnicians that are capable of performing basic functions in Surveying & Geoinformatics both in private and public sector. At the end of the programme the holder of the Higher National Diploma should be able to: Understand the theory of acquisition, analysis, fusion, compression and visualisation of spatially referenced data Interpret all forms of spatial measurements sources Prepare project costing and estimate Carryout digital image processing Carryout monitoring and deformation studies on earth-based structures Carryout small and large scale mapping of any terrain Develop a detailed topographic information system Use all geospatial data processing and presentation software Develop a Geographic Information System [GIS], geo-database systems, and data modelling |
